Daily Feature #1 - Advanced Modeling Environment

Starting today, we’ll be using this forum to give you a glimpse into some of the exciting new features and benefits that Swift 3D Version 4 will offer.

Advanced modeling decisively topped the wish list of our existing Swift 3D customers, earning this new feature the Pole Position in our Daily Feature List. Version 4’s new Advanced Modeler introduces you to sophisticated modeling functionality that removes the restraints from your 3D modeling efforts!

Don’t forget to check back tomorrow for Daily Feature #2!

Comments:

Ok can't wait to use the advanced modeling. However, there are 17 spots for daily features. Thats right 17! Today is June 8th. If you are releasing 1 daily feature a day, then this could possibly mean we won't be able to buy the product till June 24th? Please clarify this up, because I think that we were told that the product would be on sale in early June. Am I under the wrong impression here?

Sweet! Neat feature guys. Hopefully this can tide everyone over until the release. :)

Please tell us that's one new feature per day for 17 days total and not 1 new feature randomly for the next 3 month? :)

Er... please excuse the slobber, I'll have that cleaned up as soon as I get done drooling over todays preview!
This is totally sweet!!!!
Hmmm... I don't see where I could do any kind of extraction, but the move tool might be able to help me work around that...
Awsome job guys!

Also, it's a little disconcerting that there is a seperate button for Mac/PC for avilability. Am I reading too much into this??

Thanks for the preview guys, looks great. Who cares if its a week or two til the release, we've waited this long. I'm just happy that now I can see that V4 exists and Erain is doing well; got kinda worried over the lack of news for so long. And I was kinda surprised that Erain was only 10 people, in light of that I'd say they've done pretty damn good.

This is off the topic, but I didn't know where else to post this. Any word on when Swift Xpress Flash plugin for the Mac?

Ben Yokitis, I haven't seen any erain folks actually reply to any of our comments yet. In fact, this is something I would like to see more of. RainWriter, blogs are also useful for collaboration, not just posting of information.

Ben,

(Q) This is off the topic, but I didn't know where else to post this. Any word on when Swift Xpress Flash plugin for the Mac?

(A) The Xpress plug-in for the Mac is planned to be released simultaneously with Swift 3D v4 for the Mac. An official date has not been set. I am going to give a development update shortly with a more detailed answer on this subject.

Dominick - I've been laying low for a few days while everyone makes their initial airing of the greivances. I want to make sure the Blog doesn't get all combatative, and as expected there are some vocal complainers. They have every right to complain, as do we have every right not to turn the blog into a battlezone. So now that people are starting to focus on the good things of an impending release, rather than the bad things that delays cause, I'll be in here daily.

Dominick...forgot to address your first post. We have not set a final release date for this product. It all depends how the beta testing goes. This will be addressed in my development status blog post. The Feature Previews do not relate to the date of the launch. The Feature Preview is purely meant to provide a glimpse of the new product. The product launch could happen before or after we get through all the features.
